IGCW ‘26: Designed to Connect
The annual Graphic Communication (GrC) Week is a celebration of Cal Poly GrC students and industry. Launched in 1984 during the time of Benjamin Franklin’s birthday – the country’s first printer – GrC Week continues to be a highlight of the year for students.
GrC Week embodies the spirit of "design to connect" by showcasing the a way to connect both the advancements and innovations in the field of graphic communication. This event brings together industry leaders (many GrC alum!), educators, board members and students to explore emerging technologies, trends, and methodologies that are shaping the future of visual communication. Workshops, lectures, and an outstanding keynote highlight the integration of tools like UX, Embellishment, Sustainability, and Digital Media - empowering participants to be empowered to design around creative boundaries. By fostering collaboration and inspiring new ideas, the celebration not only honors past achievements but also fuels the ongoing evolution of graphic communication, making it a true reflection of connection through our creativity
The day ends with a huge celebratory banquet for our students, supported by our incredible GrC advisory board, industry partners and the famous Yukinori Okimoto as our keynote speaker!
